Lee County is located in the Eastern half of South Carolina. Bishopville is located
on Interstate 20 and is within 35 minutes driving time from three other Interstates, I-95, I-77 and I-26.
It is easier to commute from Bishopville to many areas in Columbia and Florence than trying
to manuver the traffic in those cities. This makes Bishopville and Lee County attractive to
those who love the peacefulness of the country but need access to the metropolitian area. Bishopville
may offer the "country" lifestyle but you still have all the necessities of a "big city." There are
two major shopping malls within 25 minutes and another two 15 mintutes futher down the road.
Bishopville also offers access to two major airports within an hours drive.

This part of South Carolina is great if you want to relax or if you want to stay active. Many parks and rivers are nearby that make great spots for pic-nic's or relaxing. Facilities for golfing, playing tennis, hunting and fishing are also abundant. Additionally, our area is situated half way between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Your choice of a beatutiful Atlantic sunrise or the gorgeous skyline of the mountains are within two and a half hours. The business community in and around Lee County is growing steadily. Lee County has recently added two new industries employing over 150 people and many more are on the horizon. Additionally, many industries are locating in our area within a 30 minute drive. The reason for so much industry growth is because our area offers a tremondous available workforce, land prices and taxes are very low, and our warm weather means production can run year round.
